Chinese herb: Qinghuang
Has anyone read the studies on Qinghuang powder? Or has anyone tried it?
I don't have the link but there are 2 studies on pubmed that show Qinghuang powder had some success with MDS patients. I don't know much about Chinese medicine but will be looking into this! |
I have taken Chinese medicine for various ailments pre-MDS, however the specialist who carries out my BMB/Ts is Chinese and he advised me to steer clear of Chinese medicine because of possible contamination.

That is good to know. I wasn't sure about the safety. The Chinese Dr. that I saw said yes it is very safe. I had acupuncture but didn't start any herbs yet. I have unexplained dizziness and thought maybe acupuncture would help with that. Have only had one treatment and no help. She said it may take 3 months to start helping. Also recommended an herb mixture.

Above is one of the links I found. I googled chinese medicine for myelodysplastic syndrome and found a few studies. I found a Chinese Dr. in Mn. and emailed her and she has used this powder so I am setting up a consult in the next few weeks to find out more information. I will update after my consult! |

I am Chinese. I don't know this before, but I searched and found that this had been used in China for a long time and it seems to have pretty good results. the Chinese character for that is "青黄散". it contains arsenic compound. http://www.cqvip.com/read/read.aspx?id=46008833
