Revlimid in older Patients

Dear Forum-members,
my mother was diagnosed with MDS 5q- in 1994 (!) and gets transfusions since then. She refused all specific therapies over the years and gets two units of blood every second week now. As the time between the transfusions decreases, she was offered Revlimid. Christa is 88 years old, but still clear in mind and has a good life quality.
Does anybody have experience with this drug in older or very old patients, especially the influence on life quality and infections?
Thanks you for any input!
Peter
