Masks
How long have people been required to wear a mask post transplant?
Thanks, Laura |
Hi Laura,
Thanks for you concern for Evan, I am happy to report he was back to 100% by the morning. I'm also excited to tell you he's reached an all time high hgb of 121 as of yesterday! At Day+100, our BMT doc gave to OK for no mask, but to remain vigilant and avoid indoor areas crowded with people. He fely the mask offered minimal protection at best. Keep up the fantastic progress girl! |
Hi Nicole,
Glad to hear about Evan and that is SO awesome about his HGB too!!! Thanks for the info as always :) Laura |
Hi, Laura.
My transplant center also recommended wearing that I wear a mask until Day +100. I didn't wear it at home, but we asked visitors to wear one while they were in our house. It's a good idea to have package of disposable masks around for this purpose. People should know not to visit when they are sick, but you don't want to take they chance that they're brewing something you could catch. Regards, Ruth |
