Kindred Spirit
Hi - I'm new here. Since my diagnosis, I've been hungry for any and all information about MDS. In my internet searches, I came across a terrifc blog: Mitch's MDS http://mdsmitch.blogspot.com/search?...&max-results=7 Mitch tells his own MDS story from the time he was diagnosed, and his writings resonated with me on such a personal level that I thought I should recommend his work to others here.

Mitch sounds like a great guy with a positive attitude and a great love of the outdoors. Unfortunately, his MDS was found to have progressed to AML in January and he passed away 2 weeks ago on March 15 (obituary).
His courage was apparent and his story reminds us once again to enjoy what we have because we never know what our future holds. |

Yes, I had read his entire blog before I posted the link here. Coincidentally, I started reading it on the 14th and completed it the day after he died. I wept because it came as such a shock. The common link I felt with him was the way he expressed his thoughts and questions regarding his illness, as well as his wry sense of humor. I'm a competent writer but don't like to write so it was a joy to find someone who eloquently expressed thoughts so like my own. I'm sorry I missed the opportunity to tell him what his blog meant to me.

If you want, you could post a comment on his blog to let his family know.
