Those amazing bees...
If you have not yet Dr. Raza's recent contribution to the MDS Beacon here is the link...
http://www.mdsbeacon.com/news/2013/0...tic-syndromes/ She has an excellent way of explaining ideas like this to laypersons. We agree it's a great example of her easy-to-read words. One of the comments after her article links to this report on Curcumin trials in progress: http://www.umassmed.edu/hema_oncolog...dgingerol.aspx This week there's also a Time Magazine cover story on the hunt for a cure for cancer. If you're a subscriber here's the link: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/0,...130401,00.html I think we are all inspired to see more research in progress and more promising studies and results! Thanks Neil for these new links. Most interesting to read. |
Interesting about curcumin and gingerol. Curcumin is a known VDR receptor activator. The VDR has an affect on at least 913 genes and activates the immune system. The treatment I'm on uses a drug called olmesartan to do the same thing.
I had a brief look at gingerol but couldn't determine if it affects the VDR receptor. Thanks for posting, Deb |
