Is Cam OK?

Hi - has anyone heard from Cam lately? I'm concerned because I haven't seen a post from him in quite a while.

I am back. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks with MRSA/GVHD/drug reaction/ I am not sure they knew. In fact the Dr told me after thefact there were a few days there that if the cards had not fallen in the right direction things were getting really dicey. I have now lost a lot of weight. Prior to the BMT I weighed 315 pounds (I am 6-4) now I am down to 253. I have PT 3 times a week to help me gain my muscle back and for me to walk again. But they have me off the ropes and I am swinging again. The new plan is to get me off the prednisone they the anti immune drugs. I really do appreciate everyone checking on me. I was knocked down and had to crawl out of a whole but there is still a lots of fight left in this boy...

Cam

So glad you are doing better. I have been following your posts on Facebook. I have been praying for you and your family.
You have been an inspiration for me. I am a little older (59) but I will be going thru the transplant when they find a donor.
I really knew nothing about this disease until I found this forum & I am so thankful I did.
Keep us posted on your progress & I will keep you & your family in my prayers.

I really do appreciate all the prayers and kind words. Every morning I get up and look at my family and decide to give this disease all I have. Since I am unable to work it is my job.. I am used to working 2 or 3 jobs so that is what I give towards my fight. Sometimes it will get the upper hand on you but keep getting up. That is all we have... To all the Mothers fighting this disease or helping others may you get a break for a few days as a Mothers day present...
