MDS and ALL or CLL???
I have the preliminary results of my latest bone marrow biopsy and am concerned. One part of the report states:
T Cell Receptor (TCR) gamma chain monoclonality: Positive Interpretation: Monoclonal TCR gamma chain gene rearrangement is identified, which indicates the existence of a monoclonal T-cell population in this specimen. No evidence of TCR beta chain gene rearrangement is identified. Comments: Monoclonal T-cell population is indicative of malignancy with a few exceptions, e.g. benign clonal T-lymphocytosis and lymphomatoid papulosis etc. Clinical My understanding is the T-cells are derived from the lymphoid blood line which would mean this is probably either acute or chronic lymphoid leukemia (ALL or CLL). Another portion of the report states: Deletion of 7q or monosomy 7 is detected in 20.5% of cells Interpretation: Del(7q)/-7 is one of the most common chromosomal aberrations in myeloid malignancies, such as de novo or therapy-related MDS and AML. My concern is do I have cancer in both the lymphoid and myeloid blood lines? If anyone has any thoughts I would love to hear them. Thanks Data |
