One-day Patient Conference in Rockville, Maryland, May 18, 2019
 
A free half-day patient conference will be held in Rockville, MD on Saturday, May 18, 2019. The conference, hosted by the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation (AA&MDSIF), is one of six one-day patient conferences in 2019.

The conference is for bone marrow failure disease patients and their families and for medical professionals who care for these patients.

Diseases covered:
  • acute myeloid leukemia (AML)
  • aplastic anemia (AA)
  • chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)
  • chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML)
  • graft versus host disease (GVHD)
  • myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS)
  • myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs)
  • pediatric blood cancers or bone marrow failure diseases
  • paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH)
  • pure red cell aplasia (PRCA)
  • other related diseases
The conference will include parallel (simultaneous) sessions on disease diagnosis, treatment, and research, a session on transplants, and a 35th anniversary Awards Luncheon.

Conference attendance is free. Breakfast and lunch are included. Discounted hotel rates are available to those who want to stay overnight.
