the only one I can kind of answer is the platelets....they didn't give my dad any until his reached like 12 or 13k....they said the reason is it could cause him to need them more often. but once he started having them he got them 2 times per week because he was in complete marrow failure. hope that helps but your dad seems to be bouncing back pretty quickly.
