Infection
Dear Ziad,
It is common that we get fever due to infections when our Neutrophils are low and that they never find the the bacteria, virus or fungus. They have to start treatment with antibiotics and hope that the drug or drugs will be effective. Most antibiotics are not toxic.
All counts can decrease when we have infections and they will increase when the infection is treated. Too bad that Neupogen can´t increase the WBCs now but the so called cytokines from the infection are stronger for the moment.
Hope the fever will decrease!
