Cheryl, I used to have the same problem. Go to sleep okay with early waking and unable to return to sleep. Mine was diagnosed as a sign of clinical depression and I was started on 7.5mgs of Mirtazapine and now I sleep beautifully. (7.5mgs is an extremely small dose)
