There are three aspects to the diet question:
  1. If you have a very low white count then you are neutropenic and you should follow a neutropenic diet. Search for that phrase (on the forum search page) and you'll find discussions and recommendations. There are also tips at AAMDS.org and other health websites.

  2. Everyone, patient or not, knows that they should maintain a balanced and healthful diet for good health in general. Depending on the specifics of your MDS and drugs you might be taking, there may be certain foods to avoid.

  3. You'll get a variety of answers if you ask about diets that might be able to improve low blood counts or fight the causes of bone marrow failure diseases. You'll find some by searching for the word "diet", particularly in the Alternative Treatments forum. You'll also find discussions if you search for forms of the words "vitamin" or "juice".
Did you have a particular one of these in mind?
