Leu/Lym Chromo Interpretation
MDS/AML RELATED CLONE DETECTED
Cytogenetic analysis of GTG banded metaphases has revealed a long arm deletion of chromosome 7 in all metaphases examined

I am confused over the comments in the Results paragraph and the Interpretation paragraph. From my understanding the notation in the Results paragraph would indicate 3 of the cells analyzed had a del(7)(q22) abnormality. However the Interpretation paragraph says there was a long arm deletion in all of the metaphases examined. Can anyone shed some light here?

Thanks

Hey there, looks like a typo by the geneticist. Based on the cytogenetics, 3 cells were found with a del7q and confirmed by FISH to be in %20 of cells, ask them about it next time you go in.
