The Vidaza is usually adjusted depending on the tolerability of side effects by the patient or by low blood counts (primarily platelets and neutophils). I am on Vidaza right now and my platelets dropped to 20 after the first cycle. That was the bottom and my platelets are now at 160. But, the doctors reduced my Vidaza from 160 mg down to 110 mg for the 2nd cycle because they didn't want platelets and neutrophils to go lower. Since my numbers went up I am back to the 160 mg.
