Dad Recovered....
from his recent hospitalization after combined treatment of revlimid/dacogen caused his counts to drop severely (WBC 0.9, plt 22, hgb 5.4). We had quite a scare when the attending at the hospital who is familiar with daddy's case told us we should think about hospice.
![]() He went to see his hematologist yesterday and his counts are as follows: WBC 4.6 RBC 2.33 Hgb 6.8 Hct 20.2 Plt 195 Dad said his hematologist wants to try the 5-day treatment of dacogen again at an ever lower dosage, but considering his reaction and subsequent hospitalization from the last treatment, I'm not confident this is the way to go and afraid of what may occur the next time. The dr also wants him to get a BMB...not sure why?
